The Bay Flying Club is based at the airfield known as ROSSALL FIELD which is at Tarn Farm, Gulf Lane, Cockerham, Lancs LA2 0ER.

The club has a Resident Instructor – click top Training Tab for more information – and around 70 pilot members who fly fixed and flex wing microlights from the airfield although at any one time there are likely to be far fewer pilots at the field. Members operate within the normal restraints of Air Law and are also subject to the standing orders of the club.
Other aircraft may visit the airfield but pilots must also adhere to the airfield instructions which are available on the web-site.
The club exists to support members and organises various flying trips during the year suitable for both novice and experienced pilots as well as talks and visits during the winter season and other social activities.
It also helps the airfield operator in the development and maintenance of the airfield and facilities.
